self portrait challenge: wham glam thank you ma'am

there's not much glam about good ole nina beana folks. let's face the facts- i'm wearing socks and birkenstock sandals right now with a peasant top and a long sleeve thermal underneath. but there are days when i'm feeling slightly glam- and i throw on some earrings (still with the sandals...you understand) and then maybe something a little funky like this delicious number that acumama whipped up for me. this scarf is the closest thing i have to 'glam'- it makes me feel fantastic when i wear it. a little bit unlike my everyday self. and when i wear it i'm also bestowed yet another fabulous gift- i get to remark upon all the wonderful people, like acumama, that i've been able to meet through this crazy and constant and wonderful world of my bloggie friends. it's a portable, glamourous bloggie hug that i get to wear around my neck all day.

thank you, kristen, and all you other bloggie peeps, for adding a touch of glam to my life. xo

ps- help a broke mama out! anyone out there in cyberspace have the new g love album 'lemonade'? i really, really, R.E.A.L.L.Y. want a copy, but can't shell out the bucks- so wanna trade? i'll make you a nice little something if you send me a copy of these tunes i can't get out of my head?

You are MOST welcome dear Nina and you look gorgeous girlfriend everyday, because of your socks, birkies, thermals and peasant tops!! The scarf looks terrific, especially with the coat.

smooches!

PS. I love how the light looks in these photos....totally looks like a cold, end of Fall crisp day. I love the east coast because of this.

Seriously love those earrings!!

And, I'm totally in for the book club... i'm nervous about it, but i'm in! I borrowed Dec's book from the library last night - already through the first 30pages!

We'll have to talk logistics, as C and I share just the 1 car. Peace out glammy mama!

Hmmm, socks and sandals are pretty dang glamorous if you ask me!!! :) I have a very VIVID memory of my mother coming to get me from junior high school one day wearing stretch pants that were a bit too short... mismatched pink and purple socks with her FLIP FLOPS (so it went between the toe) anda bleach stained t-shirt... i was mortified, she looked like a baglady... now I look in the mirror some days and think to myself that suddenly I am the mismatched sock wearing embarrasing mother...GAH! So I am going to have to say that I like YOUR glam style because it is most likely more glamorous than mine... I think i am starting to take after my mother...:)
