that deep sigh
*sigh*
These past few weeks, I've been immersed in work. I call it work, but I love it so much sometimes I feel badly for accepting compensation for what I do. My path has crossed with so many beautiful individuals---people struggling, people needed to be uplifted, people invested in their health and wellness. People who've never had any bodywork before. Sick people, healthy people, happy and sad, people needing to be seen and heard. I meet them wherever they're at on the table.
The best thing I ever did nine years ago was going back to school for massage. Not only was I able to learn about a skill that I am deeply passionate about, but it gave me the ability to create my own schedule, and do what I truly love to do. I love that look on a person's face when they get up from the table. That deep sigh. That telltale relaxing of the shoulders. I love when people get to lie down for an hour (or more) and have me completely take care of them. It's an honor to do the work I do, and for that I am deeply grateful.
What are you doing today to invest in your wellness?
