self portrait challenge: mamma glamma/rigatoni glamour shots

this is about how glammie things have been here in nina beana mama land. necklaces made out of hand-dyed rigatoni- gifted to me by my sweet, sweet school-going daughter. whenever i wear it, it fills her with pride- so why the hell not? glam is an attitude, right? we all keep saying it. so i rock out with my rigatoni out like my life depends on it.

more challenge-lovin' peeps here.

you're the best mama ever. i can imagine your girl's beaming little face when you wear her necklace. probably the same face that my girl was sporting when i wore a matching sweatsuit last week.

I didn't forgot about sending that book to you. I have it sitting on the steps, patiently waiting for me. I'll try to send it this weekend.

what a perfect way to pay tribute to Gray! I love this, and the fact that you actually wear it makes me smile and think, pasta is GLAM

There are so many beautiful things about your glam. No blood was shed in the Congo for it's sparkle. No cyanide or mercury was used to get this shine separated. I love the colors and the care. Most importantly the love that went into making it and goes into wearing it. You are glamoriffic.

That's so cool and fun! And you know what? I see that necklace and I picture a few years down the road your little girl could be expressing her creativity by designing fabulous original jewelry from beads and things. You never know!

Nin:

Love the necklace! It really is a colorful string of love. It looks beautiful on you! I have a few macaroni necklaces myself tucked in my jewelry box. Thanks to you, I think I'll go put one or two on and wear them proudly today. From one attached mama to another, life doesn't get any better than those simple treasure from our kids!

Love you,
Tab

(PS: I'm setting up that little get-together with the girls and I'll e-mail you with a date. I can't wait!)

You have made me bust out my boy-o's GIANT rasta-bead-looking necklace and wear it with pride today. Sweet and glam!

I so get this! My daughter has made me so much jewelry. We went through a beaded-pipe-cleaner-with-puff-ball-bracelet phase, and I had beautiful wrists for weeks. They were quite comfortable, too.

nice take on the glam.

having a nice rack doesn't hurt the glamCam either. :)

hope you have the dreamiest thanksgiving yet, with lots of family, love, food and holdiay records. don't forget to have a drink. ;)
