mantra of the day

my mantra of the day is as follows:

my children are sweet, special and kind

my children are sweet, special and kind

my children are sweet, special and kind

little do you know is that the second half of this mantra is as follows:

they really aren't evil little human beings that happened to crawl out of my body only to force me to never sleep so i have to drink 10 cups of coffee a day just to function and they never share and pull eachother's hair and earlobes and scratch at my face and eachother's faces so i'm forced to get out of bed at 4am in the morning and fumble for the nail clippers to cut their little demonic talons

they really are sweet, trust me. they are even sweeter at bedtime.

what's your mantra of the day?

Bedtime is the best I have to say. The quiet in the house when they fall asleep is heaven!

My mantra of the day, let me think...

I was asked why I was so chipper and smiley this morning and my response was, there is not reason to frown, happiness gets you much further!

Smiles are contagious!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I laugh, because that is also my mantra today. I frequently refer to my 2 year old as "Demon Spawn"... One of my other mantra's... "I need a VACATION!!!!!" ;)

And hello! Bedtime is the sweetest thing EVER invented!!! 7:00 rolls around and the 2 littlest ones are shuttled off to bed, 7:30 rolls around and the oldest is in bed.... And if it is a second later I might find myself rolled up into the fetal position wishing for a pack of smokes and a big bottle of something delicious and burney as it goes down :) Mmmmm, jagermeister!

Ah, but what am I thinking wanting to have another??? hehehe.

I am hoping your day gets easier.

Hey I know that mantra, right now mine is:
"only 39 minutes to rest time"
"only 39 minutes to rest time"
"only 39 minutes to rest time"

Um, I might just have to go with this one too!!!!! Bedtime can be the best time, depending on what kind of day you have had. This weekend, while I was feeling horrendous and Cean was out of town and Ayden was unhappy about Cean being away....yes, this would have been my matra as well!!!!

We adore our little angel babies, but sometimes....oh......

I don't totally know what a mantra is. But if it's what I think, my mantra of today is...
Denny will stop whining, Denny will stop whining, Denny WILL stop whining.

LOL! They're even sweeter when they manage to cry hysterically and laugh at the same time ;)

Much love,

can i borrow your mantra?

of course...you may not get it back for awhile. maybe when my kids' tooth comes in (or when she's old enough to pay for her old apartment). = )

"in ten years, he'll be almost 14."
keeps things in perspective.
another one:
"this is one of many moments"
used frequently when he just won't listen to the answers to his questions and keeps asking and asking until he answers them himself and his answer is always the opposite of mine and involves some sort of disaster and most likely a liquid.

I think my mantra lately is
"Piers will be home in -insert lenght of time here-."
Repeat eighty times throughout the afternoon and that's about it.

that's exactly my mantra! i also use quite often:

"i AM the mother"

"children are a gift"

"dirt isn't poison"

"the noise they make is better than the silent moments" ... that's when we call the plumber, or the fire department, or the gypsy's...

"when the jumping stops the sleep begins"

"someday this energy will be put to making babies of their own"

"i get to sleep through the night in appx 4 more YEARS"

"x" amounts of days until the weekend bliss of togetherness"

but mostly, just as you said it!
