(i'm posting this picture of us because it's making me happy right now...i love how gray is holding BOTH of our earlobes...i told you that she has an earlobe thing. she's been holding on to mine all morning, sending me healing vibes through the lobes.)
oooooh lordy. i got the sickies. since this morning, me and the toilet bowl have been best friends. it's not pretty. i hate throwing up (i know, stating the obvious!) but i mean i REALLY hate it. it makes me wish for those days of cold face cloths on the back of the neck. and being sick as a mama is just the worst- with two kids either laughing at you as your hack your soul up, or crying hysterically, pounding on the door. aaaah, the sickies. let me just tell you, i'm ROCKING those black circles in the worst kind of way today.
so why am i a freak, you ask? because of the fact that i have the best friends in the world, boo took the day off and came to my rescue this afternoon...making my kids eat and checking to see if we were all ok. when we walked in he found that gray had dressed herself, which meant she was wearing an ill-fitting and trollish button-up sweater, unbuttoned and upside-down. i was on the couch under a heap of blankets shivering with drool plastered on my face, trying to figure out how to breastfeed and throw up at the same time.
did i mention how much i love boo?
he just took the kids out for a pre-christmas shopping adventure to relieve me. i got up off the couch for the first time today (with the exception of bathroom runs) and...wait for it...started cleaning! but i can't HELP it! we're hosting christmas here on saturday, and the mess was making me sicker than my sickies. i know. freak. i know. lie down. i'm one of those people that has a really hard time with down time. as i was laying on the bathroom floor this morning, i was still dreaming about garlands to be strung and gifts to be knit.
i need to relax.
through it all today, i keep looking at mark's candle that i have burning. it helps keep everything in perspective. my heart is still with d and d and their families. their situation makes me feel like a little puke is just that...a little puke.

Call me if you need anything. My mom can take the boys and I can come clean or cook or do anything you want. Boy, I hate the sickies too. But you need to relax, that is the only way you will get better!! Sending tons of love and healing thoughts your way. Thank God for Boo. Give him a hug and kiss for me!
Love ya,
Steph
That photo is precious.
Hope you feel better soon!
Oh, my poor favorite mama. As a mama too, I know it's horrible to be sick and have to take care of the kids. It's overwhelming! We can't help but to drag ourselves around the house trying to get things done. We know if we leave it (a mess, dishes, toys scattered), it'll all be doubled the next day.
TRY to mend yourself. Rest. Pull out some movies that might entertain the kiddies too. Use lots of Lysol and hand-sanitizer too ;) We don't need Joey or Daddy chunking next!
Much love,
Tab
My 3.5yo is a huge fan of the lobes. Sleeping with her can be nightlong defense of your ears.
Hope you are well soon!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell ya... I tagged you. Go check my blog to see what you must now do in your sick haze... You can take a little break from cleaning:)
I think you should do a photo card at some random time of the year. We would love unexpected mail love!
Also, you have such a wonderful friend in Boo, I hope that you feel better soon for all of the holiday festivities.

this is why i love you so much...you are so honest even through the ickiest ick imaginable! thank god for friends like Boo (someday i'll learn why you call him that. i think its funny cause that has been my nickname since i was born..andmichelle keeps that name running strong).
i totally feel you on the non stop action even when you seriously need to take a nap. at least you are aware this is how you are and the next step is actually taking a break at some point. relaxation in micromovements!
i am sending lots of love your way and healing vibes.
merry almost christmas to you and the rest of your clan!
love,
me
oh no! get well soon, okay?
sending energy and love.
oh lady do i hear ya... i too really REALLY hate the sickies. fear them, actually. but back to you... poor poor you... it's so nice to hear that boo has taken care of you. i'm just reading this now (10pm) and, although my fear of being sick is paralyzing, i would still go over if it was earlier to bring your house some healing food. because, like the prayers sent to D this week, i believe that love energy is healing... so maybe it can shoo the icky bugs away too.
ps- do not even think about exerting the energy to bake cookies or entertaining to any extent if you're trying to nurse yourself back to health. take care of you first!!
oh nina...get better.

Oh honey...I'm sorry. And feeling grossed out for you. You know how I feel about the vomit (9 years, baby! Woot woot!). Lots of love, bleach, and sleep to you.
And, I mean this in the most loving way possible: TAKE IT DOWN A NOTCH. Christmas will be fine. I swear.
:) XOXOXOXOXOXOX
Thank you Nina for all of your support, prayers and kind words.
