i am a christmas card junkie. i get a rush every time i check the mail starting after thanksgiving, and stretching long past christmas (hoping that people mailed their cards late). photo cards put me over the edge into complete blissdom. this year (so far), jen's card takes the cake. by far the best. i just found myself downstairs, with a few seconds of quiet (kids sleeping for a very quick moment) just staring at their card. which features her gorgeous son and squishable doggy, sticking their tongues out in the exact same way.
if you want to encourage my addiction, send me a christmas card. you can be sure it will be displayed, and stared at lovingly, for weeks to come.
(ironically enough, however, i am not sending out my own christmas cards this year. cannot get my head out of my fanny to do so, and can't stop crafting to take out a pen and write them out.)

Mine are done and are going to be in the mail tomorrow! I did not write one word this year, labels and preprinted picture cards. No stress. Don't worry about not sending cards. You send out enough cheer!!!

I do love Jen's card. So cute. I got some pictures back today from saturday morning when I dressed the kids up and stuck them in front of the tree. Of course they didn't turn out how I had imagined in my head. Denny would not smile, and Grace is making funny faces. So the one I picked neither of them are looking at the camera. You will see. I hope to get them out by the end of the week.

i am terrible about sending cards out. i am so last minute with everything (shopping, that is). every year i say to myself i'll get better but cards never go out (even though i buy the cutest ones).
i feel inspired by this to get my boho bootie in gear.

I haven't sent out cards for several years...most of my friends and family don't either--so I don't get this rush of mailbox love you describe (maybe I need to revise that--I love good mail days!) There is one card I'm very excited for though, my sister's b/c I took her family (including a wildman spouse--her four children from 13 right on down to 1--and their 200lb. mastiff!) for a photo session in a state park and it was the first one I've ever done. Nw, I just hope the cards turn out well!

cards have started coming in our door, so i'm so excited to check the mail everyday too.
