i heart sloppy, juicy watermelons eaten outside on the deck!
what a wonderful, inspiring list... thanks for the reminder of all the good things to come.
and thanks for the tune now caught in my head! "summertime summertime sum sum summertime..." although i can't recall who actually sings this...
i really appreciate your summer enthusiasm, beana. my lady is in a constant state of "too hot". (she tells me her fave thing about summer is that it makes me happy... gotta love her for that!)
another deep thought.. my list is very summer-in-the-city Vs. your summer-in-the-country. no fresh mint, but plenty of steamy hot concrete and stylin tanktop ladies!

The BRIGHT BRIGHT SUN!
juice mustaches, dripping popsicles, warm earth, weddings, naked kids outside, air conditioning, sprinklers, butterflies and hummingbirds, HAMMOCKING, deciphering clouds, star-gazing, camping, going to the zoo, block parties, sitting on porches like old people, watching my kids discover summer themselves...
oh dear, i think i actually like summer too!
when our town pool opens. it's like magic. watching my girl socialize with all of her friends.
i heart you :)
fresh picked blueberries on top of frosted flakes with icey cold milk!
Riding my motorcycle through the back roads of New Hampshire, being out in the beautiful sunshine, feeling it soak through my skin.....then stopping somewhere for lunch and have steamers, yummy - summer is my favorite time of year.....
Love Vinnie

wow, nina, i love this list. i mmay have to go and do this on my own...
i wish i lived down the corner from you. :)
breakfast on the porch swing, lunch on the patio, naps in the hammock, beach days, raspberry picking, backyard wading pool, new swings, climbing trees, something new blooming in the garden every day, making ice cream, green woodland walks, fireflies, sun tea, fresh herbs, tomatoes, figs from our tree, skin, dappled sunlight, bare feet...
and writing about all of it! Thanks for inspiring me today.
i heart pickles, farmers markets, potstickers, capturing summery images with my camera, and reading blogs that bring summery feelings. Great times!
Cheers!
