at the moment, i'm having a bit of vacation amnesia. i know that it was the best vacation ever, totally relaxing and wonderous-sand-between-my-toe-ishness, but i'm having a hard time articulating it. let me start with a goodygoodygood-drop list-

our little surprise party at 10p orchestrated by boo for johnny's birthday on thursday night when we got to the cape...gray was able to wake up and stuff her face with cheesecake with us. johnny loved his glasses! thanks for helping me hook our husband up with some p-town style, boo!

hot-tubertins! they cleaned the hot-tub (we'll just keep telling ourselves that) so i was able to do some serious soaking and meditating (sort of) under the gorgeous stars

our ocean view...step out of the room...there's the ocean, baby!

collecting shells with gray and then watching her obsessively sort and resort them for the rest of the weekend

fried freakin' seafood

pum's wind-burnt cheeks

not showering but still feeling glamourous and beautiful

snuggletakkies

mozzarella, basil and tomato, with lots of oil and salt and pepper

large iced coffees

sleeping so close to the kiddies for two nights

no gracie accidents

runaway kites

being in the car with john for four hours

using someone else's shampoo and conditioner

love overflowing


well, i'm going to end here because there's an ant crawling around inside my sweatshirt and i need to go downstairs and extract it gently and make some fresh brew. hope you all have had nurturing and fulfilling weekendies! can't wait to hear all about them.
